Tees Valley Rural Community Council

MISSION STATEMENT

Tees Valley Rural Community Council (TVRCC) is committed to working towards the social economic and environmental well-being of rural communities in the Tees Valley.

TVRCC seeks to achieve this by working with local people to enable them to identify and respond to local need and by providing accurate and appropriate advice, information and support to voluntary and community groups.

TVRCC employs a core staff team based in Middlesbrough. The core team is complemented by project staff, advisers and volunteers. Project workers include a West Tees Valley Rural Community Development Officer, and East Cleveland Rural Development Officer who are supported by two advisors the Rural Transport Adviser and The Village Halls Adviser.

TVRCC has also recently taken over the running of the Centre of Opportunity and Partnership Building in Loftus (formally the Loftus CO-OP Building run by Loftus Development Trust) as a community building for the area.  Tony Gatehouse, Centre Manager has the day to day responsibility for the building and his work is supported by a Employment Support Worker/Receptionist and an Administration Trainee.
