About Stephen Metcalf - Development Worker

Stephen joined us in October 2010 as a Development Worker working on our Minibus Brokerage Project, which is currently based in the Riverside Building at Skinningrove. Before joining the team Stephen had a varied career. He initially trained as a bricklayer, then joined Cleveland Potash in 1976, working underground at Boulby Mine for 12 years, before being transferred to the surface where he continued as the control room operator until 2007. A keen musician and ardent music fan, Stephen was instrumental in setting up and running the East Cleveland Music Collective in the 1980's. He currently teaches children how to play the guitar and is a member of Staithes Guitar Therapy Group.
